Hello! I was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan and I graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in 1975. My interest in pottery began in 10th grade. I attended 2 years of college at Jackson Community College and 2 years of college at Kellogg Community College majoring in Arts.
As I developed my pottery style and design, I also started mixing my own claybodies and formulating my own glazes. I established Crossroads Pottery in 1989. I have traveled all over the Midwest and have done over 200 art shows. I have received recognition from various newspapers, have won prizes and ribbons from various art shows and was featured in a local television news special.
In 2001 my wife and I established Crossroads Pottery and Clay Company and I started selling clay and chemicals for Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. In 2008, we applied for LLC and have gone back to using the business name of Crossroads Pottery.
A big hello and welcome to Crossroads Pottery website! We are glad you could visit with us and hope you find our site useful for you.
I am co-owner of this business with Jim, my husband. We started in July 2001 and each year it has been quite amazing for us.
I currently work for the State of Michigan in Lansing, and I have an MBA in Business Administration.
When I’m not busy with Jim and the business, or at work, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, bowling and playing with the ‘kids’ that consists of 7 cats.
